More and more car manufacturers are coming out with new features that are useless. As you’re reading the window sticker, you see stuff like auto-dimming rear-view mirrors, rain sensing wipers, and other items to make owning the car more “convenient.”

Jalopnik ran a poll today to see what car owners find as the most useless feature on their cars.

…cars are packing on the pounds because of more and more junk features. Why have one sunroof, when you can have two? My peeve for today: auto-dimming mirrors. Are we that lazy?

The most useless feature in my car: Shift light. Do I really need a little light telling me when to shift my car? If you are driving a manual transmission car, then you should know when to shift. Plus the light always tells me to shift when I’m going up a hill. If I shift then, the car will stall.
